Home Builders Care - Annual Fund Drive -
Help The Homeless Walkathon 2008

Home Builders Care Foundation's Annual Fall Fundraising Drive is held in conjunction with the Help the Homeless Walkathon, sponsored by the Fannie Mae Foundation.

For our eighth straight year, Home Builders Care Foundation (HBCF), the charitable outreach arm of the MNCBIA, has been selected as a beneficiary
agency of Fannie Mae Foundations Help the Homeless Walkathon
(HTH Walkathon). The annual event is a fund-raising and awareness-raising
program that culminates in a 5K Walk on the National Mall
on the Saturday before Thanksgiving. Mark Your Calendars for Saturday, November 22, 2008.
This year, our goal is once again raise over $100,000 for Home Builders Care in support of our ongoing and upcoming shelter-related projects. Last year, money raised through this important fund drive has helped HBCF undertake several shelter-related projects throughout the entire MNCBIA area. Click here to view a list of our most recent projects.
Home Builders Care Foundation is
able to raise money through this event in the following
ways:
- WALKERS - JOIN OUR TEAM! Individual walkers can join the Home Builders Care Team and earmark their
financial support for HBCF when they register to walk. In addition, HBCF
receives funds from walker and team-solicited contributions. Our team name is "Beneficiary - Home Builders Care Foundation - MD013" Click to walk or make a donation in support of our team or a walker! Once on the HBCF Team Page, click "Join team" in the left column
- CONTRIBUTIONS DIRECTLY TO HBCF and our TEAM (preferred) -
HBCF is asking that all contributions (100% tax-deductible) be made directly to HBCF. We will be pooling MNCBIA member contributions under the association's name and signing on as a top-level partner of the Walkathon to gain positive exposure for the industry. For more information, please contact Patti Kane, HBCF Manager at (301) 445-5410 or download the 2008 MNCBIA pledge form (PDF).
General online donations can also be made via credit card transaction through the Help the Homeless (HBCF) donation page as well as via Network for Good's giving system. Links to each vehicle for online giving are here. On the Help the Homeless HBCF Team Page, click "Support Beneficiary Home Builders Care MD013" in the right column under our 2007 photo.
- PARTNER SPONSORSHIPS with FANNIE MAE can be earmarked for HBCF in support of our participation in
the HTH Walkathon. Fannie Mae sponsorships are available starting at the Neighbor Partner Level ($1,500) and ranging upward through the Hero's Circle Partner Level ($100,000). Sponsors can take advantage of many promotional
opportunities through Help the Homeless posters, signs, t-shirts and advertisements. Please contact HBCF Manager Patti Kane for more information on how to sign up as a Fannie Mae Partner.. Online forms must be compelted correctly by listing Home Builders Care Foundation MD013 as the referral agency AND most importantly - the selected beneficiary. Additionally, a few deadlines must be met to take advantage of promotional opportunities with Fannie Mae.
