About this project.
In the spring of 2008, in partnership with Home Builders Care, Builder Captain Mid-Atlantic Builders, Inc. (MAB) helped change the lives of disadvantaged youth living at the Langworthy Boys’ Home, operated by Hearts & Homes for Youth (HH4Y). In its efforts, MAB brought together its business partners, employees and friends to improve the 86-year old home that provides long-term residential treatment for young adolescent males.
The Home Builders Care project included installing new kitchen countertops, building a new brick patio in the backyard, patching walls and re-shingling of the roof, painting a wraparound front and back porch and putting in new dining room ceiling tiles, just to name a few. The project culminated with a community day of service for MAB employees.
“Mid-Atlantic Builders has a long history of philanthropic involvement with the citizens of Prince George’s County,” said Roger Lebbin, President and Founder of Mid-Atlantic Builders, Inc. “The Home Builders Care Foundation is close to my heart and we are thrilled to help make the Langworthy Boys’ Home a better place to live under their auspices.”
