COVID Crisis Recovery
When the pandemic hit hardest, HBCF stepped outside the job site, putting $100,000 directly into the frontline nonprofits feeding, housing, and steadying families across Maryland.
About the initiative
Boosting emergency support when it mattered most
In early 2021, the Home Builders Care Foundation launched a $100,000 COVID Crisis Recovery Initiative to support local nonprofits providing emergency services during the pandemic. The funds were distributed in the first quarter of 2021, roughly $10,000 to each of ten local jurisdictions across the MBIA and HBCF service area.
Rather than build, HBCF gave, directing dollars to the organizations already on the front lines of hunger, housing instability, and hardship.
