Champ House Recovery
A transitional home where men rebuilding their lives after addiction find stability, structure, and support, refreshed top to bottom by the building industry.
About the project
A steady place to start over
Champ House is a transitional therapeutic program for men recovering from addiction to drugs and alcohol. Operating since 1990, it provides sober-living housing, counseling, and recovery services to men referred by courts, health departments, and community and religious institutions, many transitioning straight from detox or rehabilitation.
Founded by the late Paul Champagne, who began by taking people into his own home, the nonprofit bought its property outright in 2014. In 2016 and 2017, HBCF and Bozzuto Homes led a top-to-bottom renovation to make that home safer and more comfortable for the up to 15 men it serves.
