Giving Drives & Opportunities

Support a collection. Throughout the year, our building-industry community comes together to give directly to the children and families our nonprofit partners serve.

Our giving drives

Give a little, help a lot

The Home Builders Care Foundation regularly organizes giving drives to benefit low-income children and needy families served directly by our local nonprofit community partners. Building industry members have continued to give generously during the holiday seasons and year-round.

Care Packs

Through the preparation and distribution of care packs containing personal and nutritional items, HBCF and MBIA provide a little help for the homeless.

Each pack holds nutritional to-go snacks, personal sanitary items, and key Helpline and Crisis Hotline information to connect neighbors in need to resources and assistance programs throughout Maryland.

Essentials Drives

HBCF and MBIA's Professional Women in Building Chapter host essentials drives, collecting school supplies, career clothing, nursery needs, and other household essentials for low-income Maryland families.

Holiday gifts collected for children and families

Holiday Drives

Each December, at the President's Luncheon and Volunteer Appreciation event and other MBIA holiday events, members contribute to our Holiday Giving Drive.

Gift cards are donated to one of our local nonprofit partners for the benefit of low-income and homeless children and families — a different Maryland nonprofit is chosen each year.

Where the holidays go

Every year our members' generosity lands with a Maryland nonprofit doing the hard work of moving families out of crisis and into stability.
