About the project

A kitchen and dining room, reimagined

The first house renovation under a partnership between The Arc Baltimore and the Home Builders Care Foundation opened on November 10, 2016. The project completely transformed the kitchen and dining room to be fully accessible for three residents with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

At the open house celebrating the home, Councilwoman Cathy Bevins presented a Baltimore County Council Resolution honoring the work, a small everyday space, remade so daily life could happen with dignity and independence.
